President & Principal Engineer
Joshua Campbell, PE, CRE
Josh Campbell, Sr. is the President & Founder of Elemental Flight Sciences ('EFS'). With nearly 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry, he has a deep understanding of systems and reliability engineering and their many applications.
Previously Josh worked as an engineering manager at NASA, leading research projects in the Aeronautics Mission Directorate at GRC, and as a reliability & systems engineer for the Artemis I lunar mission at KSC.
Josh worked as a senior systems engineer for Boeing, where he spearheaded requirements verification and validation, using paper-based and model-based systems engineering methods, for the B-52H bomber commercial engine replacement program for the U.S. Air Force.
At Northrop Grumman, Josh was responsible for performing the reliability calculations for the Lunar Gateway Space Station.
He also gained significant regulatory experience at the FAA, while serving as the Office of Hazardous Materials Safety's technical advisor for spacecraft & advanced air mobility. He is also an instrument-rated commercial pilot.
Josh is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a commissioned officer for 12 years.
